Orange County Vice Chairman, Doug Chaffee, Launches Small Business Grant Relief Program

SANTA ANA, Calif. (February 11, 2021) – Beginning Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 9 a.m. PST, applications will open for Vice Chairman Doug Chaffee’s Fourth District Small Business Grant Relief Program. This Small Business Grant Relief Program will support small businesses, nonprofit organizations and Chambers impacted by COVID-19 and located within the Fourth Supervisorial District (excluding Anaheim and Placentia) by providing $5,000 flat rate, single payment awards to qualifying applicants.

This program excludes the cities of Anaheim and Placentia. These two cities are running their own programs with funds allocated from the County. For more information on the City of Anaheim’s program, please click here. For more information on the City of Placentia’s program, please click here.

Awards will be made on a first come, first served basis. Awardees will be reimbursed for eligible expenses incurred from November 2020 through the present, as long as other relief program funds were not received for the same expense.

Qualifying applicants must have no more than 25 employees (full-time equivalent). Applicants must be a for-profit business or nonprofit, 501(c)(19), 501(c)6, or 501(c)(3), in order to qualify.

“The pandemic is placing extraordinary stress on the 4^th District and across Orange County, particularly on already strained small businesses and nonprofits that help our most vulnerable residents, and we must provide them with greater financial support,” said Vice Chairman Doug Chaffee.

Orange County Vice Chairman Doug Chaffee represents the Fourth District, which includes the cities of Fullerton, La Habra, Brea, Placentia, and portions of Anaheim and Buena Park.
